Permits and Student Transfers

Overview The Permits and Student Transfers Office is responsible for the timely processing of all Inter-District and Intra-District permits within Los Angeles Unified School District. This includes all cases in which students are either entering the LAUSD from another district or leaving to attend another district. This office is also responsible for handling foreign student admissions, developing the District policy on permits and student transfers, responding to parent and school personnel inquiries, and representing the District during the County permit appeals process.
